Sir Henry attended the theatrical party at Ecclesford hosted by Lord and Lady Ravenshaw. He wanted to play Frederick in Lovers' Vows, and when the Duke got the role instead, he complained the Duke was not equal to it. John Yates disagreed and would later describe Sir Henry as "such a stick". Due to the death of Lord Ravenshaw's grandmother, the play was never performed.
Because Lord Ravenshaw played Baron Wildenhaim, the Duke played Frederick, and Yates played Count Cassel, Sir Henry must have been playing either Anhalt or Verdun the Butler.
