Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is an adaptation based on the novel, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It was released in February of 2016.
The film follows the story of Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters as they navigate society and marriage - only within a Regency era England plunged into a state of zombie apocalypse. The ongoings of society continue on despite a world plagued by a flesh hungry infection, and the Bennet girls must contend with the dangers of society as well as the monsters surrounding them. In this story, the Bennet girls are well trained fighters as well as avid readers and potential brides. While there are endless differences to the source material, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a fun modern retelling that transplants the Bennets into a world of the undead.
