Mr. Phillips (a.k.a. Mr. Philips) is a minor character in Pride and Prejudice. He is married to Mrs. Phillips and is thus the brother-in-law of Mrs. Bennet. He is an attorney, which is one of the reasons why the Bingley sisters considered the Bennet family to be so beneath them. He is "broad-faced, stuffy" and during the party at the Phillipses' house, he is described as "breathing port wine."[1]
