Mr. Morris is involved in the lease of Netherfield Park. When Charles Bingley came to see Netherfield Park, he was shown around the estate for half an hour by the owner, whose praise helped convince him to take the house.[1] Mrs. Long names Mr. Morris as the one with whom he agreed,[2] suggesting Mr. Morris is the owner; however, in Persuasion, Sir Walter Elliot is assisted by his agent Mr. Shepherd, an attorney, and his clerks when leasing Kellynch Hall to Admiral Croft.
