James Stevenson, Esq. was the master of South Park, in Gloucester. He was the father of Lady Elliot and father-in-law to Sir Walter Elliot. He was the maternal grandfather of Elizabeth Elliot, Anne Elliot, and Mary Musgrove and the great-grandfather of Mary's sons Charles and Walter Musgrove.
