She married Colonel Forster after the ----shire Militia came to Meryton, described as "very young" and "very lately married." By the time the militia leaves Meryton in May, she has known Lydia Bennet for three months and been her intimate friend for two, brought together by good humor and good spirits.
She and her husband participate in the prank where Lydia, her sister Kitty, and Pen Harrington dressed up Chamberlayne in Mrs. Phillips's gown.
She invites Lydia to join the regiment in Brighton, where under Mrs. Forster's lax chaperonage, Lydia elopes with George Wickham to London.
