Baly-craig is an estate in Ireland owned by Mr. Dixon, who has illustrated views of its beauty. Upon his marriage in October, Mrs. Dixon became the mistress of the estate, and they invite her parents, Colonel and Mrs. Campbell, and her foster sister, Jane Fairfax, to visit them there. The Campbells accept their offer, but Jane visits her family in Highbury instead.
